Unit 12.3
Poetic Justice
In this unit, students examine poetry and drama to deepen their understanding of these creative forms and how they are used. They also experiment with poetic devices and dramatic techniques in their own writing, creating and performing original poems dramatically.
D.E.P.R. Standards:
12.R.6.1L-Students is require to distinguish what is directly being stated on a text from the actual meaning.
12.LA.1.1.- Demonstrate command of English grammar and usage conventions when writing and speaking.
12.LA.1.1a-Apply different types of sentences in various contexts. Asses various grammar and usage texts and online resources.
12.R.10.1L- read and demonstrate comprehension of a variety culturally diverse literature.
12.LS.1.1d- Listen and respond to synthesize, explain and describe, support, and discuss information.
12.LS.2.1- Contribute to class, group and partner discussions.
