INGL-4326: Children’s Literature

Children's literature is class where we explored the genres and sub genres of literature through the lenses of a child. We learned how to make use of literature in the classroom through lesson planing and research . As a requirement for the class we were to research a literature genre and make a presentation, I choose the genre of Modern Fantasy. In the modern fantasy presentation we explore the genre and sub genre of modern fantasy, specifically from the perspective of children’s literature. This project showcases the beauty and appeal of modern fantasy through the eyes of children. The project was developed with a personal connection to the genre and is passionate about exposing young readers to its enchanting worlds and characters. As a way to motivate my audience (my classmates) when presenting I dressed up a princess to allure to the genre. I also prepared a mini lesson that encouraged a hands on experience with the creation of a paper crane. Overall it was a wonderful experience that I will always hold dear to my heart.
